  • Don't take busy routes at rush hours- In case the car is not in motion then the running engine leads to reduction in the mileage. Therefore you should not drive through specific routes during rush hours.
  • Use the maximum gear if you are driving on a highway or for a long time- The driving at the maximum gear will result in increasing the mileage of your vehicle.
  • Drive at 55 mph- Maintain a constant speed of 55 mph on the highway to increase your mileage. The mileage of your vehicle will get increased by 20% at 55 mph than driving at 75 mph.
  • Drive with a light foot- Driving by applying lighter pressure of your foot also helps in increasing the mileage.
So these are some ways of increasing the mileage of the vehicle. However, people should know that the association between the rate of acceleration and gas mileage is just one of the many methods that they can use to increase their cars mileage.
